Characteristics of an ideal teacher

 CHARACTERISTICS OF AN IDEAL TEACHER

  • Motivating: A teacher should motivate his/her students to perform well and appreciate them whenever they do something good. 
  • Flexible: A teacher should be flexible enough to cooperate with their students and help his/her students.
  • Patient: A teacher should not get irritated by students' questions and queries and should be tolearnt.
  • Punctual: A teacher ought to be punctual and on-time, either it to be for her class with students or for an official meeting with colleague teachers.
  • Unbiased: A teacher should treat each student equally and should do no discrimination among them.
  • Polite: A teacher should be polite and gentle with their students and be humble. They should keep a gentle tone with their students. 
  • Good listener: A teacher should listen to their students and be a source of comfort for students in times of need.
  • Supportive: A teacher should support their students in matters of concern and should guide them where they are going wrong.

NICT ELEMENTS

Subject: Social Studies. Topic: Government. Class: VI This chapter follows elements 2, 3, and 4 of NICT.  As in element 2, they provide follow-up and support to teachers so as in this chapter there are follow-up activities that help teachers.  In this chapter, there are guidelines and different topic-related activities which will make learning student-centered as mentioned in element 3.  According to element 4, they give teachers and students problem-solving and critical thinking skills so in this chapter there is an inquiry part in which students have to think critically and have to solve their problems.
