Reflection On English For Media Literacy

 This course of  English Media Literacy includes five modules and those were really helpful in improving our skills in English and Media Literacy at the same time

 MODULE 1: The first module was about  "introduction to media literacy". In which we learned the concept of media and media literacy. I found this module important if we want to be media literate. 

MODULE 2: In this module, we learned about "The evolution of media". Mass media investigation ( traditional media or social media). How media is fraught with pros and cons.

MODULE 3: This includes "Advertising and Targeted Marketing". In this module, we find out the strategies that can be used to target the audience, and while making advertisements what are some tips that we should use.

MODULE 4: "Bias In The Media" in this module we learned that what is Bias in media and what are some ways that we use to detect bias.

MODULE 5: The last module was about "the diversity and the media". In this module, we studied what is diversity and why it is important to be diverse.

REFLECTION

REFLECTION 1  24th August 2021 This was the introduction class, we discussed this Teaching of English course; what is this course about, and what we are going to learn. Then we discussed that there are four key learning areas in any profession. After that, we had a short discussion on what is receptive and productive skills.  Then we talked about two websites BBC learning and British Council Learn English Kids. Then we discussed the difference between parents and guardians. We also got to know about FRC (family registration certificate), and juvenile card that is for children under 18.
